Quality Assurance Engineer (India)

Location: Pune

Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager

Job Summary

The QA Engineer will be a member of the Quality Assurance team for One Network.  He/She will test ONE Network Platform and certify that it is as per specifications. He/She will use the latest QA Strategies and approaches, and latest tools to get the job done.

Essential Functions

• Analyzing and reviewing technical requirements
• Formulating the right strategy, processes and selecting the right tools for validating the requirements
• Producing test plans and creating test cases
• Executing test cases, logging defects
• Verifying defect fixes
• Producing status reports for release under test
• Automating test cases using in house test tools

Education

• BE/ME in Engineering,  Computer Science

Experience And Skills

• Minimum 3 -5 years experience in testing of operating systems, development platforms or development tools
• Good understanding of software development processes and tools
• Knowledge of programming languages like Java and Visual Basic
• Skilled in scripting languages like java script, perl, python
• Strong analytical problem solving skills
• Experience in reviewing specifications and creating test plans
• Experience in creating test cases from test plans and requirements
• Test automation experience using scripts or tools like QTP
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
