Software Engineer (India)

Location: Pune

Reports to: Development Manager

Job Summary:

Successful candidates should possess a strong background in Java/J2EE development.  We are looking for exceptional talent, high creativity, and self-motivation.

Essential Functions:

• Hands-on involvement in every phase of development: design, code, test and document software.
• Organize requirements into development tasks.
• Refine existing designs and implementations.
• Work on meaningful and challenging projects with real world impact.

Education

• B E/B Tech/M E/M Tech in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain

Experience

• Experience with server-side java technologies such as JDBC, Servlets, JSP, REST 3+ years
• Experience with web client technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX, ExtJS, 3+ years
• Familiarity with SQL and Oracle
• Strong analytical problem solving skills
• Strong Object Oriented Programming skills
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Understanding of software design patterns,  J2EE components (EJB, JSP, Servlets), and XML
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Systems implementation skills:  requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, support
• Prior experience in development or consulting with an enterprise software vendor is a plus
• Functional knowledge of supply chains, logistics, order management, etc. is a plus
