One Network Platform

Next generation from every angle

Modern supply chain business models have introduced a common challenge – your underlying technology is no longer adequate for your needs and it is prohibiting your momentum. It’s time for a new approach to supply chain systems.

With a highly-experienced team, One Network launched its Platform initiative in 2001 to build upon its leadership position in Internet-based logistics solutions and create a system that would be viewed as a paradigm shift in supply chain technology. The resulting One Network Platform, introduced in October 2003, brings several breakthrough ideas to market:

  • A multi-company, multi-tier distributed execution system that can manage multiple transactions types in real-time.
  • A sense and respond decision support framework that truly integrates planning and execution and scales to automate extreme volume environments.
  • A meta-model based architecture that enables configuration from the core transaction design up through personalization of user interface.
  • A design Studio that provides a graphical user interface to configure and extend the core workings of the execution system.
  • A unified multi-instance deployment architecture to enable a fulfillment “Network” comprised of multiple hosted or behind the firewall deployments of Platform.

Platform delivers these breakthroughs via the Command and Control Architecture, comprised of four integrated technologies:

  • Studio is a workbench application for configuring and extending Platform to meet the specific system requirements of a company and its value chain
  • Command Center is the Network Desktop for launching Network Applications
  • Network Applications are configurable applications for managing orders, inventory, shipments, forecasts and other fulfillment transactions across a distributed supply chain environment
  • IXM (Intelligent Execution Manager) is a real-time and incremental decision support layer providing sense and respond intelligence to Network Applications
