One Network Helps U.S. Department of Defense Improve Transportation Operations

Menlo Worldwide Government Services leverages One Network’s Transportation and Logistics Network solution to establish enterprise-wide centralized management, planning, collaboration and execution for USTRANSCOM DTCI program.

Dallas, January 15, 2009 — One Network Enterprises, an innovator of multi-party supply chain solutions for the global networked world, makes its first announcement that Menlo Worldwide, a global provider of logistics, transportation management and supply chain services, has successfully deployed One Network’s Transportation and Logistics Network solution across fifteen sites of USTRANSCOM’s DTCI program, representing 60% of the overall program’s anticipated transactional volumes. The first site went live in 150 days, and last month the largest distribution center, Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna Pennsylvania (DDSP), became operational on this network. The Defense Transportation Coordination Initiative (DTCI) is an initiative of U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) to outsource the management of military freight moving commercially in the U.S. The DTCI program intends to improve the reliability, predictability and efficiency of DoD materiel moving within the continental United States by reducing cycle times and improving predictability through the use of more dedicated truck schedules, cross docking operations, better mode selection and load optimization.

Utilizing One Network’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, Menlo Worldwide has successfully exceeded many of USTRANSCOM’s performance goals for cost reductions and improved service levels to date. “Using One Network Platform, we have been able to configure and extend One Network’s core transportation SaaS solutions to the Government’s exact needs, and we continue to make changes that improve processes and add more optimization capabilities,” said Andy Dyer, Vice President, Menlo Worldwide Government Services. “Our team has an effective, intuitive solution that provides real value in helping them do their jobs. I have strong confidence in the future of this program a complex one in terms of the number of systems and departments, knowing that our IT platform is on schedule and on budget. As a matter of fact, we delivered the initial operating capabilities in less than 150 days, not very common these days but very much appreciated!”

With the DTCI deployment and several other DoD contracts, One Network is quickly becoming the largest Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution deployed in the U.S. public sector. “Our Government is recognizing that SaaS Network solutions truly offer unique differentiators over traditional software solutions and at much lower cost, “stated Greg Brady, One Network Founder and CEO. “Our SaaS Platform has been built from the ground up to transform multi-enterprise business processes and delivers innovative solutions very quickly. Our solution aligns with the Government’s multi-party operational paradigm to improve support for our War Fighters, drive efficiencies and maximize taxpayers’ returns. With DTCI we were able to deploy a centralized multi-party transportation solution within a complex systems environment in less than 120 days. In addition, connectivity with over 2,000 carriers occurred immediately since they were already on our network.”
