Retail and CPG Overview
Real-time demand and supply management for retail networks
One Network offers the first real-time demand and supply management solution for retail networks. The ONE Retail™ network enables intelligent, multi-echelon replenishment of retail value networks using a store pull-based model.
The ONE Retail network currently serves over one third of the grocery retail market, including suppliers Kraft, Del Monte and Georgia Pacific, grocery retailers Delhaize America (Food Lion, Bloom, Hannaford), Kroger (Ralphs, Dillons, Smith's, King Soopers, Fry's, QFC, City Market, Hilander, Owen's, Jay C, Cala Foods/Bell Markets, Kessel Food Markets, Pay Less, Baker's, Gerbes, Fred Meyer, Fry's Marketplace, Smith's Marketplace, Food 4 Less, Foods Co.), Safeway (Vons, Dominick's, Randalls, Tom Thumb, Genuardi's, Carrs) and Publix; and more than 1000 suppliers and logistics and transportation companies.
It brings together vendors and manufacturers, retailers, and carriers on a single, shared network. It encompasses network-wide visibility, the transaction layer, on-demand applications, and configurable business processes. It transforms the traditional linear supply chain into a rapid-response value network.
With the ONE Retail network you will:
- Pull store forecast from existing systems
- Generate store-level forecast using causal factors
- Use periodic Point of Sale (POS) data and net all inventory and demand
- Generate perpetual inventory at store (shelf and back room)
- Generate orders from corporate level based on store inventory and forecast
- Net against DC inventory
- Replenish DC to store and DC to vendor
- Create “smart” aggregated orders for buyers and provide a time-phased view of DC capacity constraints
- Upon order execution, re-prioritize flow of goods to minimize stock-outs at store
- Schedule appointments and coordinate transportation
- Re-allocate based on last-minute store demand
Real-time planning, transaction management and execution
All parties on your ONE Retail network access real-time information and share processes for orders, automated buying, real-time dock scheduling, and transportation management. ONE’s unique Intelligent Execution Manager (IXM) guides execution by monitoring events, identifying issues, evaluating alternatives, and executing the resolution that meets your objectives. IXM takes a continuous real-time view of demand and automates all buying, while minimizing costs and understanding demand changes. It determines how to expedite orders, create and manage execution activities such as dock scheduling and transportation, and make intelligent allocation decisions to resolve supply problems.
Shared networked processes
You will use the ONE Retail system to define and execute business processes that overcome traditional boundaries. The old point-solution technologies have resulted in purchasing and order systems that do not connect, scheduling and transportation systems that are separate from the buying and selling systems and an inability to connect real-time to customers and suppliers. The result is a limited view of demand and supply. It also has spawned manually-intensive internal operations that can not react to business changes and require significant personnel to support.
On the ONE Retail network, processes have no boundaries, data moves in real time, and planning and execution are highly automated. It is architected to be highly flexible, allowing you to modify business process templates “on the fly.” This enables both incremental process improvement and creation of next-generation business processes.
A strategic business partnership
Our strategy is to partner with our customers to configure the total solution needed to support business success. This includes building out new capabilities; providing business process re-engineering services; hosting, running, and maintaining all or part of the solution; and providing people and processes to connect all of your business partners.
